Hussain to fly home tomorrow
<p>dubai: For 33 days Hussain of Vattaparambil in Veliyamkode in Malappuram has been nothing. Even to move his body he needs help. He is not aware that Mediclinic Hospital in off his hospital bills running up to 3.5lakh dirhams on compassionate grounds and confined to bed. He remembers Dubai Health City has written that tomorrow he will be flown</p> <p>home. Hussain is also unaware that he has to repay the lakhs he has borrowed on reaching home. Even as his family is preparing to welcome him, they are desperately hoping that someone in a state known for its large-hearted people will come forward to help him. Fifty eight-year-old Hussain had ventured out to Gulf once again to repay his home loan. He landed a job at a grocery stall in International City drawing 1,200 dirhams as salary. Then on June 6, he suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed. He has undergone three surgeries, but his situation has not improved. He received 1.35 lakh dirhams from an insurance policy while the total hospital bill amounted to 4.75 lakh dirhams. The stretcher ticket for Hussain to fly home was also procured by the consulate. The expenses for the nurse who is accompanying Hussain will be met by the company where he used to work. Hussain will be taken to the medical college hospital in Thrissur. A sea of troubles awaits him at home as well. He has to pay back Rs 18 lakh he has borrowed from various sources. Apart from his wife, Hussain has two daughters and a son at home in Vadekkekkadu in Thrissur. The family’s only source of income was the money that Hussain earned in Gulf. The home loan alone would come to around Rs 8 lakh. He will be flown home in a flight scheduled to leave Dubai at 9.30 in the morning</p>
